On August 23 at the stadium named after Bannikov on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the Independence Day of Ukraine was held a charity football tournament «the Cup of Independence».
At the same time, five football fields of the Ukrainian Football Federation was held a football tournament for the assistance of immigrant children from the East of Ukraine.
Taking into account the non-standard format of football competitions, the Supervisory Board of «Records of Ukraine» confirmed the fact of achieving a record on the scale of universal recognition.
The top ten teams of the charitable tournament included the national teams of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Department of Patrol Police, the Football Federation of Ukraine, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, national team of People’s Deputies F. C. Maestro and the Journalists' Of Ukraine.
In the final match with a score of 2: 1, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine won the team of the Security Service of Ukraine and was awarded with «the Cup of Independence».
The organizers of the charity tournament were the Football Federation of Ukraine together with the Information Center «Centernovin» and the Charity Fund «the Development of Football of Ukraine» with the support of the Company «OBOLON», «the Charity Fund» Nash kray «of Vasily Janitsky» and the medical clinic «Boris».
