НАДМIРНЕ СПОЖИВАННЯ АЛКОГОЛЮ ШКIДЛИВЕ ДЛЯ ВАШОГО ЗДОРОВ'Я

The bottling of Zhygulivske beer has started at Kyiv Brewery #3. This is what the information message might have sounded like at the beginning of the 1980s. Back then, Kyiv Brewery #3 was not yet called Obolon. Today, the breweries of the Obolon Company that do remember how beer tasted in those times have revived the old recipe for Zhygulivske. During the presentation, Valentyna Mykusevych, Quality Assurance Director of the Obolon Corporation, said: Zhygulivske beer was produced by more than two hundred breweries in the Soviet Union; however, the beer of Kyiv Brewery #3 (Obolon) was considered to be the best in the USSR. Artesian water coupled with best ingredients made the beer extremely tasty. We’ve revived the good old taste, well known to many consumers. The main feature of our beer is the absence of pasteurization. Without a doubt, the short storage life — only 30 days — will ensure that fresh Zhygulivske beer from Obolon is available at points of sale'. Oleksiy Bezugly, Head of the Beer Marketing Division: Givn the latest consumer trends, we decided to repeat the previous experience and revive Zhygulivske beer from Obolon CJSC. The product’s appearance resembles that of the 1980s. We attempted some kind of hindsight, since everyone remembers the popularity of Zhygulivske. We’re planning for a 0.5% market share for the new beer by the end of this year, but it’s quite possible that the actual results will surpass our expectations'. The specifications of Zhygulivske beer are density 11.0% and alcohol content 4.2%. The beer will be produced in a 0.5l glass bottle and 1.0l and 2.0l PET bottles, as well as 30l and 50l kegs. The estimated price of the hoppy drink in the 0.5l glass bottle is UAH 3.38.
