Obolon Corporation Enters Persian Gulf Market

Obolon Corporation, the largest national beverage manufacturer, has started to export its soft drinks and mineral water to the market of the UAE. The first consignment of over 25 thousand liters is soon to be available in the retail outlets and chains of the United Arab Emirates and neighboring countries.
Obolon is the only Ukrainian company exporting beverages to the Middle East. The first consignment included soft drinks belonging to the so-called nostalgia series: Sytro and Lymonad, sub-brands of Zhyvchyk with pear and cherry flavor, and Obolonska mineral water.
The drinks and the mineral water are supplied in 2-liter PET bottles, which is the favorite container format among Middle Eastern consumers.
The products of Obolon Corporation will be available at UAE supermarkets.

Serhii Kravets, Director of Foreign Economic Department, Obolon Corporation: “We expect to fill a niche in the Persian Gulf market. It is not by chance that our partners have taken an interest in our nostalgic series of non-alcoholic drinks. Every year, the UAE is visited by around 1 million Russian-speaking tourists, who are familiar with the tastes of Sytro and Lymonad since they were children. As regards the cherry and pear-flavoured Zhyvchyk, these drinks are exotic to the markets of the Arab countries, and we anticipate that the local consumers are going to like them.”
